OutPerform ("the app", "we", "us") is a health-analytics app for iOS, developed by Afonso de Mello. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and — most importantly — what we don't do with it. The short version: your health data is processed entirely on your device, is never transmitted to us or any server we control, and is never sold or shared.
OutPerform has no backend servers and no user accounts. All analysis — recovery, strain, sleep, readiness, cognitive-focus and health metrics — is computed locally on your iPhone. Your health data does not leave your device as a result of using OutPerform's features, and we, the developer, never receive, see, store, or have access to it.
With your explicit permission, OutPerform reads health and fitness data from the source you choose:
Access is read-only. OutPerform does not write to or modify your Apple Health or Google Health records by default. You also provide a small amount of profile information directly in the app (such as date of birth, biological sex and wake time) used purely to personalise calculations; this is stored only on your device.
Data is used solely to compute your scores and trends on your device and to display them to you, including in optional home-screen widgets and local notifications (for example a bedtime reminder). It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's features to you.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your health data with anyone — no advertisers, no data brokers, no third parties. Because processing is on-device and we operate no servers, there is no data for us to share even if we wanted to.
Connecting Google Health uses Google's OAuth 2.0 sign-in and the Google Health API. Your interaction with Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. OutPerform's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Apple Health data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy rules. OutPerform itself includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
OutPerform is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process data from them.
OutPerform is not a medical device. Its scores and screening signals (including the sleep-apnea/ODI indicator) are informational only and are not a diagnosis or a substitute for professional medical advice.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
